Age 22. Son of Mrs. Emma Holden, of The Street, North Lopham, Diss, Norfolk..” (No complete army service record has been found for Robert.) |
| Notes: | There is limited information on Albert’s military service. He enlisted in the army on 29th March 1915 at Norwich, and on the 31st March assigned to the Army Service Corps. He was taken on with a trade of baker but was found to be unfitted for the duties of the Corps and was discharged from the A.S.C. on 7th April 1915. From the C.W.G.C. entry it appears he must have been transferred to the Queen’s [Royal West Surrey] Regiment. |
